About the role
Dayshape is in an exciting growth phase, which has created the need for a Core UI Team Product Manager. This team is transitioning into becoming the custodians of Dayshape’s front-end, with a clear focus on improving the experience for our customers and ultimately increasing the value gained from our product. This includes driving UX/UI coherence across squads, shaping and implementing our design system and ensuring front-end technology choices support our long-term product vision.
This is an individual-contributor Product Manager role, reporting directly to a Group Product Manager. You will work very closely with the Technical Lead for the Core UI team, a team of in-house and external developers, as well as a dedicated Product Designer who will be your core design partner.
As the Product Manager for Core UI, you will define and lead the strategic direction for Dayshape’s front-end platform, setting a clear vision for:
The overall look, feel, and usability of Dayshape.
Our design system, reusable UI components, and front-end architecture.
The evolution of Dayshape’s UI including initiatives around performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and experimentation.
Tooling, frameworks, and quality metrics for how our engineers build user interfaces at scale.
You will collaborate closely with the Core UI Technical Lead, Product Designer, internal engineering teams, and external contractors, ensuring every front-end change leads to a cohesive, compelling product experience.
Your focus is strategic and cross-cutting. You own the 'why' and 'what', partnering with delivery-focused roles who own sprint-level execution.
What you’ll do
Strategic Ownership
Own the Core UI product vision and long-term roadmap, aligning UI strategy with Dayshape’s business goals.
Working jointly with the product design team, define and shape our front-end experience, including design principles, component strategy, and consistency.
Analyse market trends, customer feedback, competitor UX benchmarks, and usage analytics to identify opportunities for innovation.
Develop a communication and change management strategy to ensure alignment and adoption across teams.
Execution Leadership
Work directly within the team to translate strategic UI goals into clear initiatives, epics, release and sprint goals.
Leverage an AI-first development mindset.
Working jointly with the product design team, guide decision-making around architecture, frameworks, component strategy, and cross-team UI cohesion.
Ensure major UI transitions (e.g., Vue migration, design-system versioning) have clear adoption paths within the business.
Technical & Cross-team Collaboration
Bring strong practical understanding of front-end development, component-driven architecture, UI performance, and accessibility.
Partner with the Product Designer to lead discovery activities including prototyping, usability studies, and UI experimentation.
Collaborate closely with both in-house and external developers, ensuring shared ownership of UI standards, governance processes, and component lifecycle.
Manage processes for new component requests and maintain a clear prioritisation framework.
Outcome & Quality Focus
Confidence in making UX decisions based on customer discovery and empathy.
Define and monitor UI quality metrics (speed, accessibility, usability, consistency, adoption of shared components).
Analyse UI usage patterns and behavioural analytics to drive data-informed prioritisation.
Working with the product design team, maintain feedback loops with stakeholders to evolve the design system and UI platform.
Champion UI best practices across Dayshape, ensuring design and engineering teams converge around shared patterns.
About you
You will thrive in this role if you:
Have strong Product Management foundations
Have significant experience as a Product Manager in a B2B or enterprise SaaS environment.
Have owned platform-wide or cross-product areas, particularly involving UI/UX, design systems, or front-end technology domains.
Are technically fluent
Have practical familiarity with modern front-end frameworks, design systems, accessibility standards, UI experimentation, and UI performance principles.
Are comfortable engaging in detailed technical discussions, making informed trade-offs, and guiding engineers and contractors.
Have experience embracing AI tooling as part of your day-to-day work, with a clear understanding of its strengths, limitations, and appropriate use cases.
Are a strong strategic thinker
Can articulate long-term vision, break it into phases, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
Balance user value, technical considerations, business constraints, and organisational dependencies.
Excel at cross-functional leadership
Have experience working closely with Technical Leads, Product Designers, internal developers, and external contractors.
Are an excellent communicator who can influence without authority, drive alignment, socialise roadmap changes, and challenge constructively.
Are deeply user- and experience-driven
Advocate for consistent and elegant user experiences across a large product surface.
Think holistically in systems, patterns, component libraries, and interaction models- not just isolated features.
Embrace discovery work and use experimentation and user insights to validate direction.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with large-scale design systems, UI platform transitions, or cross-team UI governance.
Experience in professional services, resource scheduling, workforce planning, or similar domains.
Experience with design and component library tools such as Figma, Maze, Storybook

Working Details
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.
We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, able to work on a hybrid basis between home and our Haymarket office. We don't mandate required office days, but we find that most of the team enjoy working from the office 2-3 days a week to connect with their team and other Dayshapers, to make use of space, and for meetings and collaboration. We may be open to the possibility of this being a remote role, as long as you are based in the UK.
Join the team!
Equality of opportunity is more than just a responsibility: we believe it’s a huge advantage to welcome a variety of experiences and perspectives into the team. Diversity is a great asset and, as such, we strongly encourage applications from any background.
This is your opportunity to really influence how we get things done, and how Dayshape’s product will look and feel in the future. We're doing well, but there's lots more to do in order to maintain the high bar and pace that we've set.
Everyone here is growing personally as the company grows, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to see your application. The deadline for applications is 10th April 2026, 5pm GMT.
Please note the successful candidate for this role will be subject to background checks and will have an opportunity to declare anything to us beforehand.
