Senior Software Engineer, Prime

The Prime team builds a prime brokerage platform for institutional clients, enabling hedge funds, market makers and professional trading firms to onboard, fund, trade, borrow against and settle positions at scale. The role owns the design and end-to-end delivery of features across the full stack, from backend services such as cross-venue settlement, credit against collateral, matched-book lending and tokenized securities, through to the client- and ops-facing frontend and backoffice tooling. The engineer leads other engineers through highly ambiguous problems, sets the technical bar for building for failure rather than just the happy path, and follows problems across the full institutional lifecycle. Work spans correctness-critical systems where mistakes move real money, with flexibility to move between backend and frontend as the work demands. The position is based in the London office with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week and includes participation in an on-call rotation.
