The company is building an internal AI platform that product teams across the organization build on, acting as the layer between data, AI and engineering teams and the models they use, whether from external providers or self-hosted on the company's own GPUs. The role owns work end to end: the API, the services behind it, the data model, the interface operators use, the tests, and production behavior under real load. The engineer designs and builds secure REST APIs and real-time streaming endpoints, backend services that stay correct under concurrency and traffic spikes, and a unified API gateway over external and self-hosted models. They also work closely with Product Managers, DevOps, and internal consuming teams, mentor other engineers, and help run the development lifecycle from concept to support.
