Ground Software Engineer - Core

The Ground Software Engineer - Core joins the Core team within the Ground Platform to develop core capabilities that support Loft's ground platform and improve development workflows. The role involves building shared services and tools for software teams across the company, focusing on backend services, workflow automation, AI tooling, and platform infrastructure with an emphasis on observability and reliability. The engineer is responsible for evaluating new technologies, leading AI tooling creation, developing central ground platform functionalities, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments. Additionally, the role includes occasional participation in spacecraft operations through SatDevOps rotations to investigate anomalies and support incident response.
