Staff Frontend Engineer - Commerce

This is a staff-level individual contributor role owning the frontend architecture for the company's Commerce surfaces, from storefront and checkout to point of sale. The person sets the frontend standard, writes production code weekly, reviews pull requests, and holds the line on performance, accessibility and quality while engineers and their coding agents ship into Commerce. They partner closely with the central frontend platform team, bringing Commerce requirements early, co-designing solutions and upstreaming what Commerce builds so the company keeps one foundation. Over the first year the role drives Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, hires and onboards the Commerce frontend team, and turns Commerce into the reference implementation for frontend excellence across the organization.
