Principal Software Development Engineer

This is an expert-level Principal Software Development Engineer role at the heart of ELB Learning's flagship Lectora Online product, which is entering a period of modernization including new AI-powered authoring features. The position works with Product Development architects, management, and product managers to ensure products meet technical and business requirements, conducting high-level research and analysis related to software design and development. The successful candidate will be a senior member of a small, high-trust engineering team, owning significant architectural decisions across the product and serving as a subject matter expert for a major component. The role also involves establishing technical standards and best practices, leading improvements to development practices, and mentoring less experienced engineers.
