The Technical Project Manager oversees complex software projects from start to finish for the platforms and services supporting a global biodiversity data archive and conservation data products. The role provides direction, guidance and motivation to Agile/Scrum teams of software engineers and project staff, managing deliverables and ensuring successful delivery of new software to a global community. Responsibilities span project planning, resource allocation, implementation, communication, coordination, tracking and reporting, as well as defining scope with engineers and project leadership and coordinating activities between technical teams and other collaborators. The position also advises senior staff and clients on project budgets and financial management, and communicates scope, goals and responsibilities while maintaining clear stakeholder expectations as projects evolve. The work location is Ithaca, New York, with a possible hybrid schedule determined by the supervisor.
