Want to join a financial services startup in its growth and scale phase? Want to have real impact and accountability from day 1? We are seeking a Test Analyst to own the end to end delivery of platform change that is critical to help us scale and grow our unique service offering in the Australian Market.
CitoPlus is at the forefront of digital innovation in the commercial broking sector. Our platform revolutionises the industry by automating key aspects of the commercial loan application process, including customer data handling, document management, analytics, and loan structuring. Designed to streamline the preparation and lodgment of high-quality loan submissions, CitoPlus significantly enhances broker efficiency. At CitoPlus, we're committed to transforming the commercial broking landscape through cutting-edge technology and user-centric design.
You will test our web application and backend services across the full release cycle: planning and running exploratory and functional testing, writing clear and useful bug reports, and steadily growing your automation skills by contributing Playwright tests to our existing suite.
You will work closely with our engineers and product team rather than testing in isolation at the end of the process. We use AI where it makes sense in how we build and test, and you will learn to use it as an accelerator: faster test design, data generation and repetitive checks, with your own judgement on what is actually correct.
• Test what we ship. Plan and run functional, exploratory and regression testing across our web application and the APIs behind it, with a focus on the workflows that matter most to brokers and their clients.
• Find and report defects clearly. Write bug reports that engineers can act on straight away: clear steps to reproduce, expected versus actual behaviour, and enough context to judge severity and customer impact.
• Contribute to automation. Write and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests within our existing framework, and help keep the regression suite reliable and trusted by the team.
• Test our data-heavy workflows. Verify document extraction, deal creation and fraud checks against realistic inputs, paying close attention to data integrity and edge cases.
• Work in the team's rhythm. Take part in refinement, stand-ups and release checks so that testing happens alongside development, not after it.
• Use AI as an accelerator. Use AI tooling where it helps to speed up test design, test data generation and coverage analysis, and learn to tell when its output needs a closer look.
• Help improve how we test. Suggest practical improvements to coverage, process and tooling based on what you see day to day.
• Solid testing foundations. Two to three years of hands-on software testing experience, ideally on web applications and APIs, with good judgement about what to test and why.
• Curious and thorough. You like exploring how things break, you notice the small things, and you take pride in clear, precise bug reports.
• Some automation experience. You have written automated tests before (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar) and want to build on that. Building a framework from scratch is not expected.
• Comfortable with the technical side. You can read logs, run a basic SQL query, call an API with a tool like Postman, and follow what a TypeScript codebase is doing at a high level.
• Clear communicator. You can explain a problem clearly to an engineer, a product manager or a founder, and you ask questions when requirements are unclear rather than guessing.
• Practical about AI. You are open to using AI tools to work faster and keen to learn where they help, where they do not, and how to check their output.
• Care for correctness. You understand why data accuracy matters, ideally with some exposure to financial services, fintech or another regulated or high-trust environment.
• Experience testing AI or LLM-based features, or any feature with non-deterministic output.
• Exposure to lending or broker workflows, or financial document processing.
• Familiarity with any part of our stack: TypeScript, Nuxt, Node services, PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Exposure to API testing, SQL, or basic performance or accessibility testing.
• ISTQB Foundation or a similar testing qualification.
• You know our product and its key workflows well enough to test with confidence and spot risk early.
• You are a regular contributor to the Playwright suite, and the tests you write are reliable and trusted by the team.
• Fewer defects reach customers in the workflows you cover, especially our document and lending flows.
• Engineers seek out your input before and during development, not only at the end.
• You use AI tooling to work faster day to day without losing rigour, and you know where your own judgement stays in the loop.
This is a chance to grow as a tester at a company where quality directly affects real financial outcomes. You will get variety, real responsibility, and the chance to build your automation and AI skills alongside experienced engineers in a team that takes both speed and correctness seriously. If you want to learn fast and see your work matter, this is it.
