Who are we?

Toolkit is a fast-growing compliance software startup that is transforming the way companies manage environmental obligations. Our flagship product, the TRI Toolkit, streamlines Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) for facilities nationwide, saving clients hundreds of hours and significant compliance costs.

This role combines traditional software development expertise with the opportunity to help build and grow a cutting-edge compliance software product. You’ll also collaborate with our affiliated environmental and sustainability law firm and air dispersion modeling group, giving you exposure to the full spectrum of environmental compliance, legal strategy, and technical innovation.

If you join us, your work will directly:

  • Simplify regulatory reporting by reducing the time and effort needed to meet complex requirements.
  • Ensure accurate submission of chemical data to government agencies.
  • Support operational efficiency by identifying areas for process improvement.

Details of the Position

  • Full time. $40-$75/hour, non-benefits eligible. Conversion to salary available after probationary period.
  • Remote. Residence in Arizona is preferred, but not required. Must reside in the United States.
  • Flexible schedule, though overlap is needed with 8am-5pm AZ time Monday thru Friday to enable effective collaboration.

Hiring Process

  • Initial Screening – Application materials will be reviewed, and candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted to schedule an interview.
  • Interview and Technical Assessment – Shortlisted candidates will participate in a one-hour video conference. This session will include a practical programming exercise and a brief code review.
  • Evaluation and Selection – Following completion of candidate interviews, the team will assess results and notify applicants of the outcome.
