Senior Staff Software Engineer - New Initiatives

This role is a hands-on, full-stack engineering position on a new initiatives team, setting the technical direction for a zero-to-one effort that applies AI to oncology care decisions. The engineer works closely with clinical, policy, product, and operations leaders to shape strategy, identify high-value opportunities, and translate complex care-decision workflows into reliable systems. They own long-term architecture across web interfaces, APIs, data models, integrations, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure while remaining deeply involved in the most complex implementation work. The role also establishes evaluation, prompting, observability, and guardrail standards so automated decisions are accurate, safe, auditable, and defensible in a regulated setting. As priorities evolve, the engineer may step into established product areas to solve high-impact technical problems spanning teams and systems.
