Yuki & The Yuki Way

Hi there, welcome to Yuki! As a vibrant, IT scale-up, we support accountants, businesses, and entrepreneurs in handling their accounting more efficient and simple, and thus making it more enjoyable! And to make that possible? Well, we’re looking for kick-ass colleagues to complete our ambitious, cheerful, and lively team of top professionals!

Yuki is one of the leading innovators in the domain of accounting and financial administration. We are rapidly growing and, as a product driven organization, it makes us proud that our business-critical SaaS solution is already used by over 130.000 companies and hundreds of accountancy firms across The Netherlands. We need you to empower our developers by building and maintaining the robust internal tools, infrastructure, and seamless integrations that form the rock-solid foundation of our engineering department!

Your Mission

As a Full Stack Engineer in our Platform Team, you focus on the system-technical foundation of Yuki. Your mission is to develop and maintain the internal tools, infrastructure, and (Visma) integrations that support our engineering department. You are a true generalist who enjoys allocating your time equally between frontend and backend development, ensuring our platform remains performant, secure, and scalable.

What you’ll be doing

  • Feature development: You implement new components, pages, and back-end functionalities, such as Vue components and data interfaces with external parties.
  • Full-Stack: You maintain a consistent workflow across the entire stack, ensuring that both frontend and backend tasks are addressed weekly without a heavy bias toward one side.
  • Code optimization: You focus on refactoring and optimizing existing code bases to improve execution speed and system maintainability.
  • Application lifecycle: You participate in the full lifecycle, with a specific focus on systematic coding, debugging, and resolving technical bottlenecks within the platform.
  • Engineering support: You build and refine internal tools and processes that enable other development teams to work more efficiently.
  • Technical standards: You build readable and performant code using software best practices and contribute to the technical direction during our backend and frontend faculty meetings.
  • Collaboration: You work with team members and stakeholders to align technical requirements with platform goals and security standards.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • At least 3 years of experience in .NET Technologies (VB.Net / C#);
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, and knowledge of TypeScript;
  • Experience with relational database engines (SQL Server);
  • Experience with API development (HTTP, REST, and .NET Web API);
  • Ability to work independently and within a Scrum framework;
  • Solid testing experience for both frontend and backend using frameworks such as Jest and nUnit;
  • Knowledge and experience with web security and cross-browser compatibility;
  • A passion for usability, user experience, and the elegance of UIs;
  • A commitment to Clean Code principles;
  • Eagerness to learn, discuss, and share knowledge with the rest of the teams;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Knowledge of AWS is a big plus.

At Yuki, we believe in empowering our team so they can empower our users. Here’s what we offer:
