Role Overview

We are recruiting a skilled Frontend Developer on behalf of a technology company specializing in cloud-based geospatial and traffic management platforms. You will design and build intuitive, high-performance web interfaces that enable municipalities and infrastructure teams to plan, coordinate, and visualize complex roadwork and mobility operations in real time.

Our client is a North American SaaS technology company providing an integrated platform for urban mobility and roadwork management. Their software is used by municipalities, road authorities, and infrastructure operators to coordinate field operations, manage traffic disruptions, and communicate in real time.

Their platform is powered by modern GIS technologies, cloud infrastructure, and real-time data integrations — including partnerships with leading geospatial and navigation providers. The engineering team is small, collaborative, and highly technical, working on products that directly impact urban infrastructure management across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Vue.js and related frontend technologies
Build and integrate interactive map-based features using ArcGIS JS API and ESRI tools for geospatial data visualization
Collaborate with backend and GIS developers to deliver seamless feature integrations
Oversee frontend architecture, ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Integrate real-time data sources and third-party APIs (including navigation and mapping providers)
Manage and support release processes using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent)
Translate UX/design mockups (e.g., Figma) into functional, pixel-precise interfaces
Customize and adapt the platform to meet client-specific requirements
Perform code reviews and contribute to best practices across the frontend team

Qualifications & Experience

3–7 years of professional frontend development experience
Strong proficiency in Vue.js and component-based architecture
Experience with SCSS/CSS and responsive design principles
Hands-on experience with ArcGIS JS API or other GIS/mapping libraries (Leaflet, Mapbox, OpenLayers)
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control (Git)
Solid understanding of REST API integration
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong communication skills in English

Nice to Have

Experience with Waze API or real-time navigation integrations
Familiarity with ESRI tools and geospatial data management
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
Experience with headless CMS or multi-tenant platforms
