We're Omnitrain, a dynamic and innovative marketing automation SaaS startup bootstrapped from zero to a rapidly expanding user base of over 50 paying subscribers. We are building an AI driven Marketing SaaS platform hosted on the Google Cloud Platform and are tapping into the latest generative AI models. We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our team on an equity-based compensation model, with the option for salary upon achievement of revenue goals.

Our Mission

Omnitrain’s very name communicates our ambitious goals for our roadmap and market impact. 

Think of each aspect of digital marketing as a car on a train. 

The moving parts of marketing work together in a linear fashion. 

1. Companies make ads to tell the world about their product.

2. These ads are circulated online to a variety of marketing platforms, such as Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc..

3. When people click those ads, they go to a landing page that continues the promise of the ad.

4. People persuaded by the landing page’s message proceed to convert.

5. Analytics are collected about the customer journey in order to identify what’s working well and what isn’t.

6. Automation is leveraged to adjust the ads accordingly based on their performance.

We seek to expand our platform to provide solutions for each part of the train.

Marketers are responsible for potentially thousands or even millions of dollars in ad spend every month. And the reality is that the numbers can turn sour at any time, 24/7. There’s been brands who have literally lost millions in ad spend in as little as an hour or two due to human errors and misconfigurations. Many marketers are utterly chained to their work for fear that things could fall apart at any time and require immediate recalibration.

Our mission is to liberate these folks from their shackles. 

In 2024, we released our MVP, the world’s first and only Text-to-Ads solution, which solves for the first car of the train (ad creation) in a way that no other solution in the market has been able to do. Thanks to our innovative proprietary systems in place, our solution instantly creates winning image ads for practically any business or service.

Now we’re looking to expand this concept to other kinds of ads (reels, video, UGC, etc), leveraging emerging technology to do so. 

And of course, we plan to tackle the rest of the cars of the train in the future.

We have in-house talent that have many years of experience in building brands from zero to millions as well as a successful exit. We want to do it again, and we want you to be a part of it.

Responsibilities

• Full stack coding: Develop and maintain high-quality software components across the full stack on GCP, emphasizing cloud functions, Firestore database, Firebase authentication, REST APIs, and integrating with a complex UI app written in Nuxt with Vue 3, and other tools or frameworks such as Quasar, PWA features etc.

• API Development and Integration: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs to support our core product functionality and integrations with third-party services. This can include AI products such as LLMs or image/video generation, marketing platforms (Meta, Google, etc), payment platforms (Stripe)

• Microservices and data management: Write, edit, debug microservices as Firebase functions (gen 1 and gen 2), Firestore triggers, Pub/Sub queue processing code etc.

• Generative AI: Explore and integrate generative AI technologies and techniques, ensuring their application is as pivotal as traditional API integration.

• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to UI/UX, APIs, database, deployment to GCP, writing test cases, debugging. Write high-quality, efficient, and testable Javascript code adhering to best practices and standards across the stack.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the CTO and the development team to translate business requirements into technical solutions, assisting the team in overcoming obstacles and achieving milestones.

• Commitment: We are looking for a part time commitment of about 20 hours a week. Less is acceptable. The more time, effort, and skill you can commit to the venture, the more you stand to gain in percentage of the operation.

Qualifications

• Vue 3 Expertise: Experience in building modern apps with Vue 3 Composition API, preferably in a Nuxt 3 environment. This is non-negotiable - experience with React or Angular will not be considered. You must be a Vue developer to succeed here.

• JavaScript experience: A compelling record of work with Javascript, front end and back end (Node.js 20+). Solid understanding of CRUD principles and best practices in creating APIs and calling external APIs. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to write front end and back end code in JavaScript or TypeScript. Experience with CSS or SCSS is also necessary.

• GCP experience: We use Firebase and many other GCP services, and experience with the platform is essential. You should be able to write and deploy functions as microservices, work with Firestore and Google storage, Firebase authentication

• Database Proficiency: General knowledge of, and working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. We use Firestore at the moment, PostgreSQL down the road. Knowledge of BigQuery is useful but not essential.

• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges. Familiarity with building hybrid web apps for diverse operating systems and devices from a common code base. A holistic approach to development, with skills or interests that span beyond coding, including project management, user experience design, and data analysis.

• Passion for Startups: Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, agile startup environment. We have many challenges to solve, and we must pivot priorities based on changing market conditions. 

• Equity-Based Compensation: Willingness to work for equity in exchange for potential future financial gains. We understand you have other commitments and are only asking for a part time commitment, as well as passion for our project. 

• Team player: We only hire people who are team players. We operate on respect. This is not a place for a lone wolf. We are fully remote and regular communication is essential for our success.

• US Residency: Must be a resident of the United States.
