Overview
The position is to lead a team of engineers building our consumer-facing Ecommerce product, a key part of our flagship cloud point of sale system. Leading includes coordinating, growing, and empowering their direct reports and others within their respective team.
This role requires close partnership with product managers to shape priorities, plan initiatives, and align technical execution with business goals. Engineering Managers should also communicate regularly with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and ensure the team’s work delivers meaningful value.
At times, this leader will need to focus on unblocking the team through both direct and indirect contribution. They are expected to develop a broad understanding of the business to provide context for the team’s efforts and to identify opportunities where the team’s expertise can make a greater impact.

This is a remote role.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Grow and lead a team of 8-10 engineers
Hire high-quality engineering talent and develop your team
Guide the development of engineers with mentoring, training, and performance management
Build high scale systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and solving business needs
Contribute to software development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, implementation, and culture
Utilize the latest advances in AI software development to improve effectiveness of delivering business value
Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers and operations teams
Responsible for continuous improvement in processes and standards
Contribute directly to the codebase as needed
Qualifications
Experience as a technical leader and people manager for at least 2+ years
Extensive professional experience, recommended 10+ years
Demonstrated success delivering SaaS, E-Commerce, or consumer-facing web applications/APIs
Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (Azure preferred), and modern architectures
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including C#, Azure, and SQL Server.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Experience with Angular, Bootstrap, Vue.js, and other front-end frameworks
Experience with Queues, Caches, CDN’s, and other technologies used for building scalable web applications
Experience with SQL Azure, Azure Service Bus Queues, and Redis Cache
