Job description
As part of SCAYLE’s Add-on Unit, we build modular, plug-and-play e-commerce solutions that extend the SCAYLE commerce engine and enable additional capabilities for our tenants.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you are a key technical contributor within a team of 5–6 engineers. You architect and implement scalable micro-frontend features using Vue.js 3 and Vite, integrating complex add-ons directly into the SCAYLE core panel via SingleSpa.
You collaborate closely with backend engineers, translate Figma designs into robust component-based implementations, and ensure consistency, performance, and maintainability across the ecosystem.
This is a hands-on senior role requiring 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience in modern web application environments.
What you will do
Architect and develop modular add-ons using Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and Vite, ensuring seamless integration via SingleSpa
Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define and consume REST APIs aligned with frontend requirements
Translate Figma designs into scalable, reusable components using Tailwind and internal UI libraries
Maintain and optimize your local Docker-based development environment and leverage Agentic IDE tools to enhance productivity
Support legacy Webpack-based add-ons while driving modern frontend standards
Ensure high code quality through peer reviews, structured testing practices, and continuous improvement of frontend workflows
5+ years of experience building modern, production-grade frontend applications in complex environments (e.g., SaaS, e-commerce, platform products)
Expert proficiency in Vue.js 3 (Composition API) and TypeScript, with strong understanding of modular architecture and maintainable frontend patterns
Solid experience with state management (e.g., Pinia), RESTful APIs, and micro-frontend concepts such as SingleSpa
Strong UI engineering skills, including Tailwind CSS, native CSS fundamentals, and translating Figma designs into scalable component systems
Hands-on experience with modern build tools (Vite) and working knowledge of Webpack, Docker-based local environments, and Git workflows
Practical experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest or Cypress) and interest in improving automation and AI-supported development workflows
