Job Description

The candidate, who could be either junior or mid-level, should have working experience in building and releasing robust client facing projects in any number of modernfront end infrastructures such asVue.js, ReactJS, AngularJS or BackBoneJS. Expect to be fully engaged in and contributing positively to designing, constructing and prototyping performant browser-based JavaScript applications from the ground up and have deep knowledge about how the browser executes JavaScript. Optimal candidates must be highly adept at keeping up with new technologies, constantly engaged in self-learning, and willing to share learnings and mentor/coach others.

The focus of this position will be to contribute to rebuilding Veoci using VueJS from BackboneJS, while also handling improvements and fixes on the existing code base.

Skills Description

  • JavaScript and view libraries such as Vue.js,ReactJS, AngularJS or BackboneJS
  • Experience in iterative software development environments
  • HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of JS bundlers such as Webpack (preferable) or Rollup
  • Experience with ES6+ JS syntax
  • Understanding of fundamental JavaScript language constructs and standards
  • Comfortable with functional programming paradigms
  • Prior use of modern version control tools such as Git and GitHub
  • Prior use of CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins/CircleCI is a bonus
  • Knowledge of how to write testable code, and comfortable writing unit tests
  • Strong communication skills to explain opinions and viewpoints
