We are looking for a passionate, thoughtful and skilled Frontend Developer (m/f) to join our ABOUT YOU CLOUD Team.

ABOUT YOU CLOUD is our own eCommerce infrastructure, which we developed in-house and now offer as a licensed product to other eCommerce retailers who want to scale their business with the proven infrastructure of ABOUT YOU. The infrastructure is highly flexible and designed for scalability helping retailers to enter new devices and markets easily. Moreover, it is also considerably more maintenance-efficient than other systems.

Challenges the team will be working on in the next 12 months:

• Maintaining & extending a multi-tenant and multi-language checkout frontend
• Implementing new features to meet the business requirements intersecting between payment and logistics
• Providing a stable checkout frontend in a fast-paced, scaling environment

What you will do

• Extend and maintain our beautiful checkout front-end in JavaScript, HTML and CSS (SASS)
• Applied SCRUM processes that are continuously improved by and for the team
• Emphasis on client-side rendering (via VueJS) and interaction with the server via REST API’s
• Lots of space for your own ideas and creations, flat hierarchies and very short decision making process

Who you are

• Profound knowledge in JavaScript, HTML and CSS/SASS/LESS
• Frequent user of JS Frameworks (Angular, React.js, Vue.js, Backbone.js, Ember.js or similar) and jQuery
• Comfortable working in Git (ideally with gitflow as well) or the desire to learn
• Learnt the rules of clean code/solid architecture and broken them as well
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Very good written and spoken English skills
