
You will be working on the ecosystem of applications around Kolibri, a new open-source educational platform that aims to support sourcing, remixing, and distributing educational content to people who don't have reliable internet access. See this product overview for more info.
You will be working closely with the core engineering team, ideally out of our offices in San Diego. We are looking for core team members who identify strongly with Learning Equality's mission to bring basic education to under-resourced communities around the world.
You have extensive experience with both frontend and backend web development.
On the front-end, you’re comfortable with both vanilla JS and modern UI frameworks (especially Vue.js!). On the back-end, you’ve worked with databases, middleware, and API design.
You should also be well-attuned to details of your craft, and be thoughtful about both the user experience of the applications you build and the sustainability of the code you write.
