ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and engaged Contract Front End Developer who is motivated, creative, and fun to assist in developing our brand new, state of the art continuing education platform.
Full-time Contract position (1099), work core U.S. business hours in your time zone

CONTRACT DETAILS
Days/Hours: M-F, 8 hrs/day during core U.S. business hours in your time zone. 36-hour weeks from Memorial Day-Labor Day (work only 4 hrs on Fridays). Company holidays are not paid, so no expectation to work.
Contract Duration: February 2023 - December 2023
Payment Frequency: Payments made semi-monthly based on invoiced hours
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute your development skills and experience to create top-notch front end code for our new platform built on the latest frameworks and libraries (Vue 3, Nuxt 3, GraphQL)
Work closely with Development Managers, Front End and Back End Developers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to troubleshoot bugs and issues, refactor existing code, and develop new features
Actively participate in and contribute to stand-ups and planning meetings
Collaborate with other Front End Developers by participating in code reviews, providing formal and informal feedback, and taking part in pairing sessions
REQUIREMENTS
Core:
Proactive communication, self-management, and time management are critical in this role!
Very comfortable working with Vue 3 and Apollo GraphQL to create large-scale, enterprise-level applications and has contributed substantial development effort toward the release of at least 1 production application
Experience working with Nuxt 2 (very proficient) and Nuxt 3 (have at least dabbled with)
Worked on a multi-developer agile team in a professional setting and familiar with scrum ceremonies and processes
Worked with deploying code that leverages a Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline (e.g. CircleCI, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.)
Nice to have: Experience working with Vuetify (UI framework), Vee-Validate (validation package), and Storybook (component library)
Nice to have: Experience writing unit tests and/or e2e tests
Other:
A communication pro - must be able to explain technical issues to a non-technical person
Experience creating responsive, accessible web components and interface elements from wireframes or mocks
Knowledge of website performance, web accessibility, and related best practices
Strong research skills, you regularly visit MDN, GitHub, API docs, and StackOverflow to learn and find answers
Comfortable on the command line and using git
You take ownership of your work and communicate progress proactively
You are passionate about front end development, elegant interfaces, and creating the best possible user experience
