Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (VueJS/GraphQL) - PaaS InsurTech Software (Up to 4175 EUR Monthly + bonus + benefits)

Can you diagnose and fix performance problems with complex database queries?

You’ll need to have demonstrable experience, knowledge and understanding of Automation Testing within modern software/applications development (especially with respect to Agile Development methodology and Automation testing).

Responsibilities:

• Contribute towards creating testing strategies and procedures

• Contribute towards continuous improvement to QA processes and tools

• Design, write and execute functional automation and stress testing performance tests in collaboration with our development team

• Collaborate with development, solution and CSA teams when identifying, isolating and tracking bugs through testing

• Write and maintain detailed and concise documentation about the testing process

• Identify potential performance bottlenecks (code, database) and provided detailed evidence for the development teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar field

• At least 3 years of QA work experience, with evidence of previous execution of automated testing

• Advanced conversational and written English

• Experience with:

  • Integration, Performance and Regression testing

    • Automation or significant non-functional testing or infrastructure testing

  • Testing web-based applications across the full-stack, from the front end/user interfaces, through to the backend and databases

  • Testing REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints

  • Developing and maintaining automated tests with industry leading tools

  • Collaborative tools (e.g. Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, Teams)

  • Usage of tools such as Git, Postman, RestAssured, ReadyAPI

• Testing experience within cloud environments

• Desirable: 

  • Understanding of the CI/CD processes used within a modern software environment, with knowledge in how to run deployments and test bug-fix and feature branches

  • Linux and/or MacOS experience (WSL2, or native) as our tooling is installed locally (full-stack deployment on a locally run MicroK8)

  • Programming knowledge (Python, Go, PHP, JS/TS, Bash)
