Senior Frontend (Vue+Typescript) for early stage startup

Artworker.io
Job description

We’re a rapidly growing B2B SaaS startup increasing access to automation for manufacturers in the print industry.

Led by Nate Duckworth, the former owner of Aspire Print, and Jack Harley, a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience, we're on a mission to solve a major problem that's been costing print companies billions of dollars each year.

We launched in January of this year and we're already making waves in the industry.

Play a pivotal role in a company gaining traction fast. We are offering generous equity options with this role, allowing you to have a stake in the company’s success.

We’re looking for you to...

  • Take ownership of the majority of our frontend development, helping to create a
codebase optimised for testability, maintainability and scalability

  • Deliver across all stages of the product life cycle: from inception, to proof of
concept, to full build and test, launching in market, and operating at scale

  • Collaborate with the CTO to help define frontend architecture, codebase style
and technology choices as well as plan new features

  • Pivot quickly to changing priorities, and the challenges that come with an early
    stage start-up

A bit about you...

  • Proven record of shouldering responsibility and leading feature development

  • Strong skills with Javascript and its toolchain (e.g. Typescript, Webpack, Babel,
    Jest)

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience with frontend technologies

  • Good understanding of frontend testing options

  • Commercial experience building consumer-facing web apps using component
    based UIs (ideally in VueJS)

  • A pragmatic development approach - confident with regularly triaging and
    reassessing priorities

  • A DIY/Startup mindset — we move fast, and we won’t necessarily have all the
answers laid out. Artworker engineers want to understand the ‘why’ and solve a
real problem, rather than working to a narrow ‘definition of done’

  • Keen to learn - understand that growth requires some failure and actively seek
feedback on both your work and your style

  • Familiarity with a CI/CD development lifecycle

  • Passionate about the product and always striving for great UX

We can offer...

  • Compensation - £50-60k DoE

  • Equity - we are offering generous equity options with this role, giving you the
opportunity to have a stake in the company’s success.

  • The opportunity to use your initiative and creativity to help maintain and grow the
technical platform, codebase and team using the latest tools and techniques.

  • See your impact - we have great relationships with our end users, you’ll be able to
see the features you’re building having a real-world impact on our customers' day
to day operations from day one.
