Job description
We will require a highly skilled frontend developer to join the OpenDialog team for a 3-4 month period starting as soon as possible to collaborate on an exciting project for a new client.
The successful candidate will need lead/senior-level experience of working with modern front-end frameworks and technologies with a preference for specific experience with Vue.js. The candidate should be a good front-end all-rounder equally comfortable with styling and building functionality using javascript.
The person needs to be able to work autonomously and be comfortable collaborating with our UI Designer and Conversational UX specialists to ensure the output for our customers is delivered to the highest standards. They will also work very closely with an OpenDialog engineer and our perm-Lead Frontend Engineer. As such, they will need fluent written and spoken communication in English.
The candidate needs to work within the European timezone - within GMT+2hrs.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong software development background and experience with enterprise-level software development
- Expert knowledge of Javascript, Vue.js and similar front-end frameworks
- Experience of building complex, data-driven, component-based web applications
- Experience with varied software development architectures and methodologies
- Experience in designing and implementing stable APIs and services
- Fluent written and spoken communication in English
- Able to adapt quickly, with experience working in fast-paced, agile environments
- Interest in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Desirable
- Experience with Laravel and modern PHP is a plus
- Experience with front-end unit testing frameworks (eg Jest etc)
- Experience building conversational experiences - Voice and Chat - for systems such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Chatbot
