Chapman Automotive is looking for an expert client-side developer who is highly skilled with Vue.js and JavaScript but hasn't ignored their HTML and CSS. Your primary focus will be developing user-facing web applications and components using the Vue.js framework, following generally accepted best practices and workflows. Ensuring that you produce robust, secure, modular, efficient, and maintainable code is vital. Coordination with other team members, including server-side developers and UX/UI designers is standard. Your commitment to team collaboration, communication, and a quality product is crucial.
*This position is in-office, with one optional remote workday per week.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing user-facing applications and websites using Vue.js
- Building modular and reusable components and libraries
- Optimizing your application for performance
- Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.js space
- Updating existing applications and websites
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Very strong attention to detail (You are your own QA department)
- Very strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern syntax and features
- Highly proficient with the Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
- Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS, including Sass
- Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases
- Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Vite, Webpack, and Git
- Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs
- A good sense of humor
- Possess a clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Nice To Have:
- Experience with ASP.NET
- Experience with Vue 3 and Nuxt 3 (We are migrating from Vue 2)
- Experience with Typescript
- Familiarity with unit testing and end-to-end testing
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices
- UI/UX design knowledge
