Job description

MRI Technologies has a need for an experienced Web Developer proficient with Javascript, HTML, and CSS, and experience building rich web based user interfaces. Must have a working understanding on utilization of APIs for building reactive user interfaces. Experience with Angular.js and/or Vue.js, Typescript, webpack, and NPM/Node.js preferred.

The MRI developer team is a group of passionate developers, working closely together to identify problems at NASA and deliver software solutions that meet the complex operational environment of space flight. We are passionate about open source software and take a very pragmatic approach when evaluating the tooling, languages, and frameworks used on a given project. This position is 100% remote.

Technologies / Experience:

Interested candidates do not have to have experience with all of these, but should have experience with some of them and an interest to learn others:

  • Git (GitLab)
  • Vue.js
  • Typescript
  • GQL APIs
  • Webpack
  • NPM / Node.js
  • Experience with 100% remote work


  • Bachelor's Degree or 10+ relevant work experience required
  • 5+ years professional software development experience
  • Experience working in a continuous software delivery CI/CD environment with other teammates
  • Ability to work from home effectively
  • Enjoys working directly with customers and end-users to define and tease out software requirements
  • Ability to work from home effectively
  • Self-motivated, self-directed
  • Strong eye for user interface design in enterprise settings
  • Understanding of modern responsive web design standards
  • Daily code check-ins


  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes based CI/CD environments.
  • Active contributor in one or more open source communities.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience developing APIs with Node.js, Python or .NET.

Due to the nature of the NASA work, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
